Type specimen: IGNS GS11359/EC904, a set of stem ossicles (infranodal columnal, articular face). Its type locality is GS11359, Mangahouanga Stream (V19/f6909), which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian shoreface sandstone in the Tahora Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: stationary infaunal suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at GS11359, Mangahouanga Stream (V19/f6909)
