Type specimen: UPM 2756/1-53, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Jucha squalea type locality, which is in a Hauterivian marine shale/carbonate in the Klimovka Formation of the Russian Federation.

Distribution: found only at Jucha squalea type locality
