Belongs to Myrmecolax according to M. Kogan and G. O. Poinar 2019
Sister taxa: Myrmecolax glaesi, Myrmecolax hageni
Type specimen: Poinar D-St-1-13, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Dominican amber (Poinar coll)
