Type specimen: Geological Survey of Israel, M-5892. Its type locality is Ramon 1 borehole, Makhtesh Ramon, which is in a Bithynian marine horizon in the Zafir Formation of Israel.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Ramon 1 borehole, Makhtesh Ramon
