Type specimen: UCMP 37997, a shell. Its type locality is Area 10: Punta San Jose, Baja California, which is in a Maastrichtian coastal siliciclastic in the Rosario Formation of Mexico.

Ecology: epifaunal carnivore

Distribution: found only at Area 10: Punta San Jose, Baja California
