Type specimen: MPEF-PV 3301, a partial skeleton (posterior half of skull articulated with seven cervical vertebrae). Its type locality is Bagual Canyon, which is in a Toarcian lacustrine - large mudstone in the Cañadón Asfalto Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution: found only at Bagual Canyon
