Sister taxa: Archaeolamna kopingensis, Archaeolamna striata, Archaeolamna yangtzeensis

Type specimen: WAM 95.7.41, a tooth. Its type locality is Thirindine Point ridge, which is in a Cenomanian coastal claystone in Australia.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Thirindine Point ridge
