Type specimen: MUSM 3888, a partial skull (partial cranium, preserving the facial and dorsolateral regions of the cranial vault, but lacking most of the rostrum and basicranium). Its type locality is Sacaco (SAO horizon), which is in a Tortonian/Messinian paralic siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Sacaco (SAO horizon)
