Sister taxon: Turfanodon bogdaensis
Type specimen: IVPP V 26038, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is DQS 55, 1.5km S of Gongshanwan, which is in a Lopingian terrestrial horizon in the Naobaogou Formation of China.
Ecology: herbivore
Distribution: found only at DQS 55, 1.5km S of Gongshanwan
