Sister taxon: Palaeomorrhua bulbus
Type specimen: MGUH 27176, an otolith. Its type locality is Sonja Lens, Agatdalen, Nugssuaq, which is in a Danian deltaic sandstone in the Agatdal Formation of Greenland.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Sonja Lens, Agatdalen, Nugssuaq
