Type specimen: LACMIP 7371, a partial skeleton (partial cephalon and thorax). Its type locality is UCLA loc. 6748, which is in a Montezuman marine horizon in the Campito Formation of California.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
