Type specimen: NMNZ S.47220, an otolith. Its type locality is Parengarenga Harbour North shore, which is in an Otaian marine sandstone in the Waioha Shellbeds Formation of New Zealand.
Ecology: nektonic carnivore
Distribution: found only at Parengarenga Harbour North shore
