Type specimen: USNM 529342, a pygidium (complete pygidium). Its type locality is USNM Loc. 42248, Horse Thief Canyon, Last Chance Range, which is in a Delamaran marine horizon in the Emigrant Formation of California.

Ecology: nektobenthic carnivore

Distribution: found only at USNM Loc. 42248, Horse Thief Canyon, Last Chance Range
