Type specimen: UA 10581, a skeleton (near complete skeleton consisting of the cranium, mandible, partial hyoids, shell, and remains of the limbs, girdles and vertebrae). Its type locality is MAD05-38, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Maevarano Formation of Madagascar.
Ecology: amphibious omnivore
Distribution: found only at MAD05-38
