Sister taxon: Plectocion curvirostris
Type specimen: LACMIP 12514, a shell. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 24081, Pentz Area, which is in a Campanian marine conglomerate in the Chico Formation of California.
Ecology: epifaunal carnivore
Distribution:
• Cretaceous of United States (2: California collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
