Sister taxa: Neophyllites biptychus, Neophyllites imitans, Neophyllites neumayri
Type specimen: NMW.83.22G.1459, a shell. Its type locality is Lavernock Point, bed WL1, which is in a Hettangian carbonate limestone in the White Lias Formation of the United Kingdom.
Ecology: fast-moving nektonic carnivore
Average measurements (in mm): shell diameter 20.8
Distribution: found only at Lavernock Point, bed WL1
