Type specimen: JPM-2012-001, a skeleton. Its type locality is Mutoudeng (2007 coll.), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine shale in the Tiaojishan Formation of China.

Ecology: volant piscivore

Distribution: found only at Mutoudeng (2007 coll.)
