Type specimen: MZSP-PV 833, a partial skeleton (a partially articulated skeleton consisting of complete skull and mandibles, partially preserved cervicodorsal vertebrae and ribs, complete sacrum, partially pr). Its type locality is Embira-Branca hills, Coração de Jesus, which is in an Aptian lacustrine claystone in the Quiricó Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Embira-Branca hills, Coração de Jesus
