Type specimen: USNM 8539, a partial shell. Its type locality is San Juan Basin (non-specific), which is in a Puercan terrestrial horizon in the Nacimiento Formation of New Mexico.
Ecology: aquatic carnivore
Distribution: found only at San Juan Basin (non-specific)
