Type specimens:
- Agriotherium schneideri: FGS 6856. Its type locality is American Cyanimid Company, which is in a Tortonian marginal marine sandstone in the Peace River Formation of Florida.
- Agriotherium coffeyi: MWSU 12146, a mandible (t lower jaw ramus with canine, alveolus of P1, and complete P3-M3). Its type locality is Coffee Ranch, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in Texas.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore
