Type specimen: NMNS PM 28406, a shell. Its type locality is Mt. Kinshozan, middle-upper Member, Akasaka (NMNS collection), which is in a Wordian/Capitanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in the Akasaka Formation of Japan.
Ecology: slow-moving semi-infaunal deposit feeder
