Type specimen: ROMIP61586, a carapace. Its type locality is Mazon Creek (ROM collection), which is in a Westphalian D deltaic mudstone in the Carbondale Formation of Illinois.
Ecology: nektobenthic omnivore
Distribution: found only at Mazon Creek (ROM collection)
