Type specimens:

  • Benthesikyme gracilis: BMNH 48086, a skeleton. Its type locality is Sahil Alma (BMNH collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon.
  • Leptotrachelus longipinnis: Its type locality is Hakel (Cope collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal carbonate in Lebanon.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution:

• Cretaceous of Lebanon (3 collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
