Type specimen: USGS 21661, a maxilla (fragment of right maxilla with P4-M3). Its type locality is Elk Creek (414 m), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

Ecology: arboreal insectivore

Distribution: found only at Elk Creek (414 m)
