Type specimen: NHCC LB363, a partial skull. Its type locality is L322, southern border of North Luangwa National Park, which is in a Wuchiapingian floodplain mudstone in the Madumabisa Mudstone Formation of Zambia.

Distribution: found only at L322, southern border of North Luangwa National Park
