Type specimen: Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, BSIP 37676. Its type locality is Tinau Khola, Locality 1, which is in a Miocene fluvial mudstone/sandstone in the Arung Khola Formation of Nepal.

Distribution: found only at Tinau Khola, Locality 1
