Type specimen: Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, BSIP 37678. Its type locality is Arung Khola, which is in a Miocene fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Arung Khola Formation of Nepal.

Distribution: found only at Arung Khola
