Type specimen: Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, 37695. Its type locality is Tinau Khola, Locality 3, which is in a Miocene fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Arung Khola Formation of Nepal.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Tinau Khola, Locality 3
