Type specimen: UAHMP-4232, a skeleton. Its type locality is Muhi quarry, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone in the El Doctor Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: planktonic suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Muhi quarry
