Sister taxon: Proegernia palankarinnensis

Type specimen: SAM P57502, a mandible (near complete right dentary; 27 tooth loci, 14 of which bear teeth.). Its type locality is Billeroo Creek Site 2, which is in an Oligocene lacustrine claystone/siltstone in the Namba Formation of Australia.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore

Distribution:

• Oligocene of Australia (4 collections)

Total: 4 collections each including a single occurrence
