Type specimen: NHMUK R36620, a partial skeleton (partial skull including premaxillae, maxillae, vomers, palatines, pterygoids, ectopterygoids and fragments of the jugals and basipterygoid, with associated hemi). Its type locality is U15/1, east of the Mkongleko River, which is in an Anisian fluvial siliciclastic in the Manda Beds Formation of Tanzania.

Ecology: planktonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at U15/1, east of the Mkongleko River
