Type specimen: USNM 22261, a mandible (left dentary fragment preserving roots or alveoli for C-P2, crowns of P3-M1). Its type locality is Fossil Butte (Upper), which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Wasatch Formation of Wyoming.
Ecology: arboreal omnivore
