Type specimen: Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, HLT-450 (A,B), a leaf. Its type locality is Xianfeng Coal Mine, Kunming, which is in a Miocene fluvial horizon in the Xiaolongtan Formation of China.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Xianfeng Coal Mine, Kunming
