Belongs to Cosoryx according to C. Frick 1937
Sister taxa: Cosoryx (Paracosoryx), Cosoryx (Subcosoryx), Cosoryx (Subparacosoryx), Cosoryx furcatus
Type specimen: F:AM 31435, a partial skull (Top of cranium and horns, with burr). Its type locality is San Ildefonso Pueblo, which is in a Barstovian/Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in New Mexico.
Ecology: ground dwelling grazer
Distribution:
• Miocene of United States (2: New Mexico collections)
Total: 2 collections each including a single occurrence
