Type specimen: Calif. Inst. Coll. Vert. Pale. No. 1580, a set of teeth (three associated right upper molars). Its type locality is Tapo Canyon (Upper), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Sespe Formation of California.

Ecology: arboreal omnivore

Distribution: found only at Tapo Canyon (Upper)
