Type specimen: College of Liberal Arts, Kanazawa University, No. 71258, a wood. Its type locality is Koinoura, Tsuyazaki, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial tuff in the Tsuyazaki Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at Koinoura, Tsuyazaki
