Type specimen: Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris, MNHN.F.40131.L1/3, L2/3 & L3/3, a wood. Its type locality is Mogaung 2, Pondaung Sandstone, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial sandstone/siliciclastic in the Pondaung Formation of Myanmar.
