Belongs to Cheiropyge according to U. Flick and Y. Shiino 2021

Sister taxa: Cheiropyge gaoanensis, Cheiropyge himalayensis, Cheiropyge koizumii

Type specimen: UMUT PA33400, a cephalon/head (cranidium). Its type locality is KF212, Matashirosawa Valley, Shigejisawa Valley, Kamiyasse, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Wordian offshore shelf shale in the Hoso-o Formation of Japan.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder

Distribution: found only at KF212, Matashirosawa Valley, Shigejisawa Valley, Kamiyasse, Miyagi Prefecture
