Type specimen: Institute of Palaeontology and Stratigraphy, Lanzhou University, FTP-1-322-17, a seed/fruit. Its type locality is Tuantian Diatomite Mine, Tengchong, which is in a Pliocene fluvial diatomite in the Mangbang Formation of China.

Ecology: "photoautotroph"

Distribution: found only at Tuantian Diatomite Mine, Tengchong
