Type specimens:

  • Honeymys mariae: Its type locality is Whisenhunt Quarry, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Laverne Formation of Oklahoma
  • Copemys lindsayi: Midwestern State University Collection of Fossil Vertebrates no. 12866, a tooth (first lower molar). Its type locality is Anceney, which is in a Barstovian channel sandstone in the Madison Valley Formation of Montana.

Ecology: ground dwelling herbivore

Distribution:

• Miocene of United States (3: Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah collections)

Total: 3 collections each including a single occurrence
