Type specimen: MHGU-3000, a skeleton (nearly complete and articulated skeleton preserved in a single slab). Its type locality is Shangheshou, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Shangheshou
