Type specimen: DGM 650-M, a mandible (incomplete right dentary with alveoli of p1-2, roots of p3-m1, and complete m2-4). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: scansorial omnivore
Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
