Type specimen: MPEF-PV 2578, a partial skull (partial skull (palate and anterior snout) and mandible (horizontal rami) with almost complete dentition). Its type locality is Barrancas Blancas, which is in an Oligocene fluvial sandstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.

Ecology: scansorial herbivore

Distribution: found only at Barrancas Blancas
