Type specimen: DGM 808-M, a maxilla (incomplete left maxilla with M2–4). Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at São José de Itaborai
