Type specimen: UFRJ DG 66-R, a partial shell (a partially preserved carapace and plastron). Its type locality is Mata locality, Itapecuru-Mirim, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-deltaic sandstone/mudstone in the Itapecuru Formation of Brazil.

Ecology: amphibious omnivore

Distribution: found only at Mata locality, Itapecuru-Mirim
