Type specimen: KUMVP 6783, a partial skull (RP4-MS, LP4-M2, and the two upper incisors). Its type locality is Saw Rock Canyon (Lower), which is in a Blancan terrestrial horizon in the Rexroad Formation of Kansas.

Ecology: amphibious browser

Distribution:

• Blancan of United States (2: Kansas, Oregon collections)

• Hemphillian of United States (12: Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Washington)

Total: 14 collections each including a single occurrence
