Type specimen: KNM-MB 29176, a skull (skull and jaws). Its type locality is Maboko Main Locality, Maboko Island (Bed 3), which is in a Langhian wet floodplain claystone in the Maboko Formation of Kenya.

Ecology: carnivore

Distribution: found only at Maboko Main Locality, Maboko Island (Bed 3)
