Type specimen: SDSM 110292, a partial skeleton (anterior part of skeleton and scale impressions). Its type locality is Olson and Kudlock Ranches, which is in a Turonian marine limestone/shale in the Carlile Shale Formation of South Dakota.

Ecology: nektonic carnivore

Distribution: found only at Olson and Kudlock Ranches
