Sister taxa: Palaeoapsilocephala pusilla, Palaeoapsilocephala vagabunda

Type specimen: USNM 717195, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Park site, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn), which is in a Lutetian lacustrine - large shale in the Kishenehn Formation of Montana.

Distribution: found only at Park site, Middle Fork Flathead River (Kishenehn)
