Belongs to Elphidotarsius according to D. W. Krause 1978
Sister taxa: Elphidotarsius florencae, Elphidotarsius shotgunensis, Elphidotarsius wightoni
Type specimen: UALVP 11742, a tooth (left p4). Its type locality is Cochrane 2, which is in a Ti1 fluvial-lacustrine siltstone in the Paskapoo Formation of Canada.
Ecology: arboreal herbivore
Distribution:
• Paleocene of Canada (2: Alberta collections), United States (3: Montana)
Total: 5 collections each including a single occurrence
